Santiago's Cuban Cuisine

About us

Santiago's is an inspired Cuban American restaurant with authentic family recipes that have been handed down through generations. We are committed to sharing our culture with our community that we love so very much. Our cuisine is vibrant and tells the story of not only Cuba but of the Cuban American experience.

Founded in 2021 in the wake of the pandemic, Santiago's began in Founder Oscar Arencibia's home kitchen. With the support of his wife, Jessica, and son, Tristan, a series of successful pop-up experiences were created. Soon after, Luis Calderin, also of Cuban-American heritage, partnered with Oscar. Although originally from West New York, NJ, and Miami, FL, respectively, both Luis and Oscar share a deep love for Vermont. They are dedicated to sharing their culture, broadening perspectives, and establishing a hub for the growing Latino community in Vermont and beyond.

The name Santiago's is inspired by the numerous cities named Santiago found throughout Latin America. More than a specific reference, Santiago's is intended as a welcoming symbol for Latinos seeking a taste of home and for anyone eager to experience Latin American hospitality. As the saying goes, "Bienvenidos, aqui estas en tu casa" – Welcome, here you are home.
